Alyx x Vans: July 29 Available Now
Matthew Williams, Hollywood’s tastemaker has successfully moved onto high fashion with his brand Alyx - the modern classics created under New York City and Los Angeles youth inspirations. The brand’s rollercoaster belts got swept up as soon as they arrived at our boutique along with its graphic t-shirts.
2017FW Alyx will kick start with the arrival of Alyx x Vans collaboration. The New York based Williams mentioned that the goal of this collaboration is to bring back the silhouettes he loved in his teen years spent at the Venice Beach while producing designs he personally would like in his closet. For the collaboration, the designer researched into Vans archive of designs and brought back ‘old skool’ silhouettes no longer sold at Vans stores. Featuring Sabrina Fuentes, the cool NYC teen from Pretty Sick.
OG Style 138 LX
The OG Style 138 LX has a perforated toecap, slimmer silhouette compared to the original, and the ALYX lightercap hardware detail at eyelets.
OG 29 LX
The OG 29 LX is a re-release of a chunky soled Van, most notably in a soft pink suede. The collection delves into the history of Vans and its archived styles, and re enlivens them with a personality and identity very true to ALYX.
Alex x Vans archival collaboration will launch on Saturday, July 29 at Kokko.
