Yeezy Season 4 pissed off many fashion editors and models for its chaos during NYFW (five hours delay to start) but the important thing is - it’s here, at Kokko Right Here. Yeezy Season 4 includes the Calabasas capsule collection we all been teased for endlessly.
Calabasas Collection is Kanye West’s new unisex merch line. Produced with Adidas, I guess it pays homage to the designer’s hometown in California where the celebrities like the Kardashians, Justin Bieber or Drake live behind gated communities. Besides the fact that West’s design office is located in Calabasas, the designs speak for themselves as to why the city of Calabasas. It’s the laid-back bougie California set. When I hear Calabasas, I picture people jumping on a high-end SUV to leave home, jumping off the high-end vehicle for a workout session, jumping back on to run errands at Whole Foods/ juice bar till they reach the paparazzi-free community to jump off the car behind the security gate.

Season 4 showcases the brand’s signature body hugging effeminate bodycon silhouettes with oversized military or streetwear inspired outerwear and boots. There are neutral colours - ivory white, beige and black. Season 4 could perhaps be the ‘closet building’ collection for Yeezy fans, the boxy fit tops or athletic shorts to be matched with 110mm clear PVC mule or the future denim-heavy Yeezy Season 5. If you believe in the themes of masculinity x femininity or athletic-leisure x heavy duty luxury, this season is a must for taking care of basic closet needs.
