Michiko Suzuki studied at Bunka School of Fashion before rising quickly to become head designer at Yohji Yamamoto Y’s Red Label. The sense of deconstruction she picked up from Y’s is paired by the love of structure inspired by her tailor grandfather. In 2010, Suzuki founded her label, the name of which is derived from Chopin’s ‘night songs.’ A certain romanticism and darkness underline the clothes.
